Scuba Diving Lessons

Looking for an unusual holiday or birthday gift? Why not
present an all-paid pass for several scuba diving lessons?
Of course, such a gift is not for the faint in heart. This
should be reserved for those who continually look for new
adventures and thrills. Make sure the intended recipient is
a good swimmer and may be interested in diving as a hobby.

Be sure to find out what the gift will cost. A gift of
five lessons will obviously cover the cost of the lessons
themselves, but does it include additional things as well?
A certified professional is the only person that should be
giving lessons so be sure to check into their credentials
before making any purchase. It might also be a good idea
to find out what, if any, other clients the diver has so
you can check references. Does the price of the lessons
include the price of the diving gear rental? This may not
be an issue if your friend already has gear. It might also
be a good idea to see about liability insurance in the
event of an accident. And check to see if it is possible
to reschedule lessons should unforseen events like your
friend getting sick or having car troubles occur.

Hopefully your friend will be able to take their lessons in
a body of clean water that is safe from danger. It would
be unfortunate were your friend forced to take their
lessons in a polluted water that is plagued by dangerous
predators and riddled with frequent riptides. Another
thing you will want to consider is the timing of the
lessons because if your friend gets off from work at 3 p.m.
with an hour drive to the site where the lessons are given,
it probably isn't a good idea to have them set up for 4p.m.
lessons. A simple but very unavoidable traffic jam could
cost them part of their lesson. You will also want to ask
the instructor if they are willing to start lessons late.
If not, part of a lesson will be forfeited due to unforseen
tardiness.

Be sure that you are certain that the lessons do not come
with any sales pitch. Getting an excellent price on four
lessons isn't so great if the trainer is constantly trying
to sell your friend on a particular line of equipment, a
great deal on a boat, or even more lessons. It is vital,
if your friend is truly to enjoy the gift, that the deal is
all-inclusive without any further obligations or
commitments demanded or even politely asked for.

Unique and potentially life-changing, scuba diving lessons
can make for a great gift. Don't waste your money on
someone unlikely to use them. They should be given to a
person with a thirst for adventure and new challenges.
Make sure you check the gift out thoroughly, including
whether or not a refund is possible should your friend be
unwilling or even unable to make use of your generosity.
