Australia ~ The Perfect Beach Destination.

The next time that you travel to Australia make sure
that you take some time to lounge around on at least
one beach so that you can catch some Auzzie sun.
There are many beaches to be found in this southern
hemisphere country that are the most beautiful and
serene around the world.
If you~re looking for a little rest and relaxation head
to the town of Durras. Durras is located
approximately three hours south of Sydney. The
beach here is straight out of a travel magazine.
White sandy beaches and turquoise waters make for
a peaceful day at the shore. Swimming and surfing
are excellent here, or take a canoe ride along the
coast. There~s also stunning rainforests in this area
with beautiful vegetation and rare tropical birds.
The quiet town of Durras is also a wonderful place
to spend the night.
Long Beach is one of the most famous in
Australia and is located just south of Durras. The
waters here at Long Beach are very calm and
make it ideal for swimming and jet skiing. Long
beach is very popular with families so it~s the
perfect place to take your kids for the day.
However, it does get very busy so be sure to
arrive early.
Bateman~s Bay is one of the most touristy beaches
in Australia. Here you~ll not only find a great
beach with amazing water sports but a lively
restaurant district as well. Located 150 kilometers
from the Australian capital of Canberra, it is the
perfect place for a day of fun in the sun and an
evening of good food. Some of the water
activities at Bateman~s Bay include jet skiing,
swimming, fishing, and canoeing. Don~t forget to
spend some time working on your tan is well.
There is also a great shopping area here with
plenty of souvenir stores with something for every
tourist.
Another great beach for children is Surf Beach.
The waters here are fairly calm so it is great for
swimming, but you can also do some body
boarding on the waves. Keep your eye out for the
dolphins which frequently visit this area, it~s a
great treat for everyone to see.
If you~re a beach buff Australia is the place to go.
With so many beautiful beaches be sure to give
yourself plenty of time to check them all out. In a
country known for its natural beauty, the beaches of
Australia are definite highlight.
