If you love to travel and play golf then you can
combine the two activities and visit Scotland for
a wonderful vacation. Scotland offers some of the
most beautiful golf courses that can be found any
where on this earth. As a devoted golfer you can
appreciate the beauty of these golf courses, and
you can take advantage of Scotland~s vacations,
and golf packages. You can even go on a tour, some
of which include the splendid St Andrews, the holy
grail of golf. This is the location where the
first game of golf was ever played.
If you choose to visit Scotland for your vacation,
you are sure to have an exciting and challenging
golfing experience. There are a lot of Americans,
Australians, and Europeans that take a trip to
Scotland every week, just to have the challenge of
playing golf on the most exquisite golf courses on
earth.
The Old Course at St. Andrews and Royal Troon are
two of Scotland's most well known golf courses.
Well known because the world renowned British Open
is hosted on an annual basis and both of these
courses feature regularly when it comes to hosting
the Open. These famous courses provide a haven
for professional and amateur golfers from golfing
fraternities all around the world.
Outside of nature making its changes to the golf
course at St Andrews this course has remained
virtually unchanged for the last two hundred
years. The St Andrews golf course was founded in
1764 and is a course made mainly by nature.
If you choose to go to Scotland for a golfing
getaway you will have plenty of places to choose
from while you are visiting. Scotland offers
resorts, hotels and country houses; any number of
arrangements can be made to spend your vacation
here. Some hotels will give you the option of
purchasing a room package that includes golfing,
this means that included in the price you pay are
the green fees and transportation fees.
One of the main reasons people do vacation in
Scotland is because of their golf courses. With
the popularity of golf increasing, it~s likely
that Scotland will continue to see more of a
demand for their golfing packages. Of course,
seeing the sites Scotland has to offer along with
visiting the castles and taverns will continue to
be a big attraction.
